When I was in the mall having dinner, I was all excited about rushing home, pulling an all nighter, and working on my story. Now I don't have energy to do anything but stare listlessly at my blinking cursor. I think I'll fall asleep even if I drink coffee, and it would just be a waste of coffee. I'll write tomorrow.

It is now 1 am.
Judging from previous all nighters, I will be at my most productive from now until the wee hours of the morning, with 4 am being the peak hour of production.
I have downed one cup of coffee, which hopefully will last through the night (I try not to drink too much coffee normally because I need the low caffeine tolerance to get me ( Read more... ) -

at my September 16, 2006 entry, in which I vow to maim and kill the person who set off the fire alarm and thus made me run out in 55-degree weather, I can't help feeling amused. This may be obvious advice and one that some people follow religiously, but many others (like myself don't). So I remind you...

never mind on the hook thing
Changed my mind. I'm spending hours on an overlong hook on a story I haven't even written. I'll just wait for her opening pages workshop, if she ever does it.
Sigh. Maybe I should focus on actually finishing stories first.

Someone set off the fire alarm in Hayes (my dorm) yesterday. At 3 a.m. in the fucking morning. It was 55 degrees at 3 a.m. in the morning, and I was so groggy I didn't bring a jacket. The end result was not pleasant.
Grr. There is maiming to be done. -
laptop!
I have a new laptop! Whee! It's a Thinkpad T60, not the snazziest looking laptop in the world, but it's a sturdy and determined little thing. I hope. And it feels so small and light compared to my sister's 17-inch Dell desktop replacement that I've been using for the past couple of days.
