Because a lot of people on Sheroes are going crazy over Twilight and New Moon, I decided to buy Twilight in Singapore. They had the British version, the weird one with the spooky, plasticky girl on a white background. Really, if it wasn't for Sheroes (as some of the best books I've read are from Sheroes recommendations) I never would have picked it

Oh god, Atwater-Rhodes. I remember reading one of her books and thinking "If SHE can get published, surely I stand a good shot."

Lol! I read her first book focusing on two vampires, and I thought it was pretty good (I was around thirteen at the time.) Then I read the second book, about a teenager who writes a novel focusing on two vampires, and then the dark and sexy vampire from the story visits her in real life and smolders for a bit and then falls deeply in love with her...It was rather like a horrible self-insertion fanfic but then I remembered, "Oh my god, it's real! They actually published this!"

The cover looked interesting, to me. The blurb didn't pull me in, and I flipped to the back (bad habit, I know), to find a horribly cliched ending, so I left it alone.
