I almost posted this same rant (sub dealing with ass hole 8th graders for english class).

And keep in mind that you've had a year to get conditioned to certain responses, both emotional and otherwise, to this particular group. So just because the end of the year is here, you still have all of the built-in responses to seeing them.

Couple of questions your subconscious might have an interest in: What would it be like if you failed entirely at being bad at things? If, no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't pull your weaknesses to the forefront?

And, for the conscious part of you, *hugs*. Trick of neurology: anytime you find yourself feeling something negative that you'd rather not feel, look up. Bring your eyes to the horizon or even higher. You might find that it gets harder to access or maintain the negative states when you're looking up.
