Jewelry I've Made

It's a bit silly that I've gotten into jewelry-making, seeing as I hardly ever touch the stuff. And yet, I also found that for some of the jewelry I made, I was giving it away as soon as I'd finished it, which left me with no record of the piece whatsoever. So...did you make these dealies from scratch, except for the rocks and beads? What bits did you do vs. buy?

I thought this would be an easy question, but it's harder than it looked!

I didn't make the earring hooks / clip-on clasps, any of the beads / skulls / rocks, the stick-pin, the heat-colored copper mesh, the gold leaves, or the metal bits that make up the last pair of clip-on earrings-for the last pair of earrings I literally just attached the clips, because they were great period pieces already.

The rest is made from metal sheets I cut out, textured, heated, etc, or wire that I hammered, bent, fastened, balled, etc.

Does that answer your question?

As well as it can be answered without visual aids! :) I'm sorry it was a hard question. My mom makes beaded jewelry, and even that isn't easy to answer sometimes. Especially when she makes some of the beads!

debramcp and I were thinking about taking a class in jewelry metal-working, but they're all so expensive and/or time-consuming, especially with commute. :(

The commute wouldn't be quite as bad if you can make the trip multi-purpose, non? ;)
