So I'm about to start the journey.

The first leg is driving to Allentown, PA. Then to Philly. Then to Switzerland, where I will reside with a load of people I don't know for about ten days.

Well, the top-most piercing is currently really painful. Like, I can't even stand to have my hair resting on it painful. Preston thinks it's just bruised (which research shows can happen) and that it will go away. I can't see the back of my ear, so I'm taking his word for it.
