Wow! Welcome! :c)
Do you know, I wish I knew where I came across it, myself. I have it copied out in one of my notebooks, because I was absolutely taken with it when I read it (and still am), but I didn't think to write down a precise citation. My best guess would have been the Outlaw Bible of American Poetry, but I believe that was published more than four years ago (and isn't the sort of thing you'd be surprised to hear you'd been included in, anyway). Possibly the Poetry 180 website from the National Poet Laureate's school poetry program? I think it's poetry180.com, though as soon as I'm done typing this I'll go check. (I'm on my phone right now, so I can't open more than one window at a time.)
I do hope you got a good grade on the poem, by the way... *smile*

Hm, no, scratch the Poetry 180 idea - not there. (It's at loc.gov/poetry/180 by the way - well worth a look.)
I've a thesis draft I should be turning in this afternoon, but when I get home from the Official Studying Coffeshop, I'll give my shelves a quick glance to see if there are any clues to where I got it. You weren't aware it'd been published anywhere, then?

Many thanks for the feedback. Glad you liked it.
No, this one hasn't been published, but I think I may have posted it on a website a few years back.
Liking the other poems you've posted too.
Doubtful I'm listed on the websites you've mentioned. I'm Irish and had been studying in the U.K.. Any submissions I'll have made would be to British organisations. I'll look them up out of interest none-the-less.

I was bored at work today and, lacking imagination, did a search for "Poetry by Hazel Nolan". I was shocked and extremely flattered to find a result.
This is a poem I wrote 3, maybe 4, years ago as part of the work I was doing for a degree.
I'm curious to know, how did you come by it?
Thanks and regards,
Hazel Nolan.

Goodluck with the thesis.
