Thunderstorm!

Well, the thunderstorm came through about 3.00 pm, bringing lots of rain!  We had a river running down the middle of our street - the drains don't cope very well when we have a lot of rain...

We had clear skies at midday, then suddenly things got a bit dark.

A couple of drops of rain, and the kids are out with their surfboards. Love it. :)

What an opportunity, though! You just have to go out of your front door! A couple of hours later it was all dry again.

It's SO humid! I hate my clothes sticking to me! A nice, cool shower before going to bed tonight seems to be in order. Not to mention hopefully getting to sleep before the cooling effect wears off!

It was still 27C at 9.00 pm. I just went outside to see if it was any better out there. Not much! Just a bit cooler than in here. There are still some clouds about, but I can see stars, so hopefully we won't get any nastiness here. *crosses fingers*

Ooooh, look at that sky!

Those clouds got very black, very quickly. Not long after, the rain began to fall very heavily, then came the thunder and lightning! Our neighbour said he'd measured 28mm (just over an inch) in his rain gauge after the storm.
