the long post-thanksgiving sleep:
After the massive hit of the cranberry chutney (which melded perfectly with our curried menu), I went to sleep and dreamt animal control came out and captured an alligator (or crocodile?) by suspending a net between my house and the house across the street.
It is time for a walk. -

It is 2 pm on a Friday afternoon in mid-November.
We sit around in sweaters and leggings and slippers.
We eat Stollen and drink Glühwein (mulled wine).
Ostensibly we are writing.
It is quite the picture of coziness. -

a laptop with a mechanism that slaps closed on your dabbling and chubby little hands, should it find you spending to much time lingering on a facebook, livejournal, youtube smish-smash type site when you are supposed to be doing work, say writing a paper on herr kracht, some lame review sheet or some other berlin q-blah p-blah crap ( Read more... )
