The whole point, to me, was to raise awareness for a type of bullying that is largely ignored in a lot of places. Not that LGBT people deserve special treatment, it's that we all deserve equal treatment from each other.. to be treated as equals and not have to live in fear of being mocked and hurt to the point you feel like you can't go on for being in that minority.

But you have to get the word out there that it's happening and well that requires drawing attention to it first... maybe there is a need for more awareness on suicide in general though, I think. But just because of this one day I don't think it's making those who aren't LGBT seem less important. It's just that to me, this is a really kind of specific bullying that's leading to these suicides and people do need to know about it. :c

bah idk this "who is more special than" thing is weird to me. Everyone is special to someone, somewhere. And maybe I missed the entire point of your rant but I felt compelled to reply; /probably sounds totally retarded

No, it's fine. I think it's a good cause but then people complain and there's just something in me that wants to make everyone happy and aaa I just don't know what to believe in.

Hmm, but I think you're right. I just wish more people would see it like that because they get the feeling they're being treated as if they aren't as important. I guess you could consider it a "now you know how we feel" jab but that isn't a nice thing to do.

No, no it's fine. You make a lot of good points really. There wasn't really a point at all, I was just trying to get some thought in order and seeing if anyone else had any input. So thank-you very much.

(Yeah, I don't like the idea that some people are more special or deserving of things than others either)
