Seeing this movie made me realize that I hadn't seen a really good movie in a long time. Unless I count "Slumdog Millionaire" but for some reason, that movie was good and gritty, but the feel-good ending detracting from the authenticity. Sorry the shaky cam was so annoying. That doesn't seem to bother me much but I know lots of people that get sick of it quick.

I didn't think the staple gun was over the top, but it isn't like I know a whole lot about wrestling. I watched the Vince McMann stuff on television about 15 years ago because my son was into it. That was all drama and no blood, very clean to watch in comparison.
Mind you, I am not complaining about the gore in the movie either, this is a case where the graphic violence belonged in the story and made the right impact.

Absolutely. This is what the little leagues do to compete: stuff you won't see on TV. And the pain, of course, is all too real.
