If you live in North America, there's going to be a total lunar eclipse late Monday night/early Tuesday morning. It's the first lunar eclipse to coincide with the winter solstice in over 370 years, and if that weren't enough, the Ursid meteor shower is ongoing Dec. 17-Dec. 25. Thank you for posting this information. I just heard about this last night and was kind of wondering about it. Now, as you kind of put it, I just have to remember to drag my butt out of bed...;)

I remember staying up late one night when I was little watching a total lunar eclipse while waiting for my dad to get home from a business trip. I was probably 8 or 10. I'm an astronomy geek so I may just drag my butt out of bed to see it too!
