Theme # 6 : Science Fiction Villains 2000s

Mar 31, 2010 20:24

First off, please vote on every who needs your vote here!

Our sixth theme, based on the recent poll, is going to be villains from science fiction movies that were made in the 2000s. (Fantasy villains will be during the second half of April.) I've limited the list to only 20 well-known characters. If there's someone that I left out that you think is super-important, comment here, and there might be a part II for this theme. The application is a little long, but I tried to make it fun, and you can just copy and paste for all later villain themes.

Also, I keep forgetting to say this, but it would be helpful if you could tag your applications!
-- !needs votes and [sci-fi villain 2000] for this theme. Thanks!

One more thing, while filling out this application, try to be as evil as possible. :) I know you're all nice, wonderful people, but it's hard to stamp you if you don't let a little evil out! Villains have the most fun, after all! On to the theme!!

Now, we know you’re not really an evil person - otherwise you wouldn’t be filling out these apps and would instead be taking over the world and/or stealing candy from babies, but try to your best to be bad, at the very least mischievous!

Smith began as an Agent, an AI program in the Matrix programmed to keep order within the system by terminating troublesome programs and human avatars which would otherwise bring instability to the simulated reality. At the end of the first Matrix film, Smith is supposedly destroyed by Neo; however, in the sequels, Smith is revealed to have been "freed" from the Machines' control, making him a renegade program. Along with his freedom, Smith gains the ability to copy himself onto others within the Matrix, rather than simply having the ability to switch between bodies, effectively making him a self-replicating computer virus.

Captain Nero

During the Clone Wars he trains General Grievous, leader of the Separatists' Droid Armies, and several Dark Jedi.

Doctor Octopus | Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius
Spider-Man 2
Genius. Sympathetic. Controlled.
A highly intelligent mad scientist, Doctor Octopus is one of the greatest enemies of Spider-Man who is portrayed as a stocky, myopic man who utilizes four powerful, mechanical appendages, and is obsessed with proving his own genius and destroying Spider-Man. In the movie, he is portrayed sympathetically; his mechanical arms are evil and control him.

Emperor Palpatine | Darth Sidious
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Sneaky. Dictator. Scheming. Leader.
Palpatine first appeared as the Emperor of the Galactic Empire. Palpatine rises from Senator to Emperor in the prequel trilogy, in which he appears to be a middle-aged politician of the Republic who gains power through deception and treachery. As the Senator of Naboo and later the Supreme Chancellor, he behaves like a well-intentioned and loyal public servant. Although Palpatine is a well-respected statesman, underneath his affable public persona lurks his true identity: Darth Sidious, a Dark Lord of the Sith. As both Palpatine and Sidious, he sets into motion events - namely the Clone Wars - which ultimately destroy the Jedi Knights and severely weaken the Galactic Senate, thereby ushering in a new totalitarian order.

Complex. Misguided. Powerful. Dangerous. Father-like.
A powerful mutant with the ability to generate and control magnetism, Magneto has been the X-Men's most prominent enemy ever since his first appearance.
