So, Josh lived through the 24 hour period that he was given. That's awesome in itself. But, his fever is completely gone and he's going in for surgery sometime today! I'm happy ( Read more... )

So Josh has been given 24 hours to live... They were going to do this big-ass surgery on him, but he had pneumonia, so they didn't. Now they say that he has spinal menangitis and, obviously, things don't look too good... The doctors are telling everyone to say good bye now, because he'll be gone any time. So yeah... My cousin's boyfriend, Josh is in the marines and was serving in Iraq. Last week sometime, he was shot in the neck. The bullet hit between his fifth and sixth vertebrae, and at this point, he's at a hospital in Germany, in critical condition, on a ventilator, and paralyzed from the neck down.
