So I got an offer for this job... And then they checked my references and I got a call back saying that not only did I not get the job, but they don't want me to apply again. Well, as of a few minutes ago, I am officially 30 years old. I don't really feel any different. This year is better so far. Met a guy, went on a date, and have another this Saturday. He seems almost too good to be true. He's nice, he's kind, we have a lot in common... Why am I so nervous?

Just got back in town after spending a week in Chicago visiting my mom. Dad barely said anything to me, and left a ton of empty ice trays, trash and dirty dishes. The house is filthy. My mother gave me my great-grandmother's brass Shabbat candlesticks that my grandfather treasured, and no one else really seems to care. It meant the world to me. I ( Read more... )
