Why don't all the gyms in London become huge power generators? If this is at all feasible why has no one done anything about it?

WEll lets say the average person excercising burns 50Watts.... and there's 20 people excersing in the gym at a time- so the average amount of power generated is 1000W.

So that's probably just enough energy to light the gym while people exercise there.... every little helps though, so why not?

Aha! You are indeed a useful person to know. And who is to say people wouldn't enjoy exercising in the dark? In fact, I am sure there are many people who would welcome the opportunity to burn off a few calories, save the environment AND not be viewed while doing so.

Sadly I am allergic to exercise, but if it were at all possible for me to approach gymn equipment without developing narcolepsy I would be writing my business plan as we speak.
