So The Office was on last night.

Michael was a jerk, Pam and Jim pined for each other, and Dwight was weird and funny. And none of these things are spoilers, because they apply to every single episode. But for the people who don't want to read about how Michael was a jerk, I offer a cut tag.

There are too many people in this world. I wish there was another plague. )

30 rock, the office

During Michael's "toast," I actually thought for a minute that Bob was gonna deck him. Bob did NOT look pleased.

Normally Michael is just clueless, but last night he was just an outright asshole. I think they went a little too far, because he lost a lot of the sympathy I normally have for him.

I agree. I hope he's back to normal next week.

Yeah, I was shocked by ANS, probably because I haven't been following her interviews, and her son JUST died, and I didn't think another tragedy would happen in her life so soon. And mothers of infants just shouldn't die, you know? That's the most horrifying part, speaking as a mother myself.

I guess I watch too much of ET and E! News.

But she had been deterioriating so badly since her son died. I was totally shocked at her appearance in the last interview, which was just like last week. Completely drugged out. (Worse than usual, I mean.) I figured an OD was bound to happen at some point.

People love to talk about "diversity" on TV, but diversity of size is not something you see much. I really appreciate that The Office portrays an overweight woman who has an actual social life -- a romance even! -- and isn't relegated to the "sassy fat friend."

AGREE!

And oh my freaking Lord, I wanted to seriously maim Michael. If I could have reached into the teevee, I would have thrown a shoe at his head.

I would have thrown something worse than a shoe.

I wanted SOMEONE - ANYONE -- to just tell him to sit down and STFU.

Yikes! Hadn't seen The Office yet, but it's waiting on my TiVo when I get home. :(

I didn't give anything away, did I? I didn't think I said anything spoilerish, or I would have put it behind a cut. I thought I was being deliberately vague.

Should I put this behind a cut? Now I'm all anxious. I'm sorry if something was spoilery.

I think most people put any sort of episode reactions behind cuts, however vague, since some people want to go in blind.

Thanks for your donation, by the way!

You are most welcome. I commend you for doing this! I don't have the discipline to train for a marathon.

I've always put "vague" comments in posts before, and nobody has ever complained. I guess my feeling is if you want to watch an episode "blind," then what are you doing reading other people's journals for reactions? I don't get that. But if someone complains, I can put it behind a cut.

I know. One day there might even be a character with *GASP* bad skin.

Is there anyone else who was hoping that Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration, would just punch Michael in the face?

Now, see, I was hoping BV,VR would find a nice way to get rid of him. Because, while I would probably be tempted to punch Michael in the same situation, I still have so much pity for him.

But it's so real and believable. Timing is everything, isn't it? I think that's true.

Yep. It really, really is.

Isn't he called Weevil?

I didn't have any pity for Michael last night. Usually I do, but not when he was being such a huge jerk and ruining Phyllis's wedding day. That was ridiculous.

Hah! No, that's worse! They cake so much make-up on he seems like he has a skin deformity.
