This is great. I was smiling all the way through. I loved Merlin defending Arthur and revealing more than he meant to as he did. Also, it seems pretty perfectly set up for a sequel, to me.

I hadn't even thought about a sequel to be honest - I didn't think I would get further than the first little ficlet (thank god for boring evening classes and doodling in notebooks). But I definitely wouldn't rule it out. Lady Catherine was a lot of fun to write!

Ohmygod. This was brilliant. Lady Catherine was very much herself! (She was one of my favorite parts of Pride and Prejudice, due of course, to how ridiculous she is. As you have so excellently conveyed.)

Also: MERLIN'S DEFENSE OF ARTHUR! (Between the giggling I was still "awww"ing.)

Anyway, brilliant! Absolutely so!

Thank you so much! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it so much - and that Lady C came over as herself. I had to go back to my copy of P&P and remind myself of her awfulness before I wrote this :D She is such a brilliant character!

Also - glad you liked the defence, I couldn't imagine Merlin standing idly by and letting anyone lay into Arthur, no matter how annoying Arthur's been :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This was too much adorable. Lady Catherine was PERFECT and Merlin was so Merlin and dude, I know, Arthur can tumble me anytime he wants too.

This was a super fun read. Thanks for writing it and for sharing it.

Phew - glad you liked it! When I saw your comment over at merlinxarthur I did have an "eek! Hope it lives up to expectations" moment :)

I imagine there will be quite a queue should Arthur ever start offering tumbles. Merlin will have to beat us away with Lady Catherine's cane.

That was hilarious. I recognize P&P but I think you did a great job translating it into this universe. New duties indeed. :D

Thank you :) I'm very pleased it seemed to work. P&P is one of my favourite books to I wanted to do it justice, but also, hopefully, to Merlinise it a bit too!

That was brilliant! I already read part 1 at kinkme_merlin and part 2 was even more hilarious! I'm still giggling, and I think I'm going to read it again, it's just so good.

Awww - thank you!! I'm so glad Vensre directed me to the kinkmeme prompt, as it was just priceless and needed to be written :D

I'm really pleased you enjoyed part 2 as well, I'm just glad I got chance to write the confrontation, as I didn't think Merlin should get away without meeting Lady Catherine at all!!
