Resume

I am trying to beef up my resume and write a cover letter with a job in education in mind. I am not currently certified, but and hoping to get my foot in the door as a substitute or teachers aid. I know many of you have experience in hiring and/or education. Do any of you have suggestions or advise to share?

Thank you.

In CT if you have a BA you can teach at private schools without a teaching certificate, I assume that is the same pretty much everywhere. You can also be an adjunct professor with a BA, Amber's dad has been teaching at colleges for years.

I know, one small problem, I'm six classes shy of a BA. I'm trying to remedy it, but in the mean time I would like to start working in the field. Thanks though.

You need to contact the Burlington County Office of Education and find out what the requirements are for substitute teachers locally:

BURLINGTON 3 Union Street, PO Box 6000
Mount Holly, NJ 08060-6000
Office: 2 Academy Drive
Westampton, NJ 08060

Phone number: 609-265-5060

They don't seem to have a Website.
