Got the ol' summons for jury duty. I guess that makes me a full-fledged member of the community.

Really, this couldn't have come up at a more inconvenient time...

I've been summoned to jury duty three times. Twice were on my birthday, and this year it was the day after Christmas. I have never gone.

ok so this post is super old but

my dad received a piece of mail from the oregon court system about 2 weeks ago.

wait, yes you read that right MY DAD...it was in my name, sent to HIS address in newton massachusetts. how odd...seems i had jury duty in portland last week.

really? jury duty? i've not lived in portland since 2003! i've correctly filed change-of-address with post offices in portland and then when i left the bay i registered my socal address with the local bay area PO's and i will register my new addy in a month or 2 when i move again.

jury duty...in portland oregon...when i've lived in california for 5 years...AND it was sent TO MY DAD'S HOUSE...allll the way on the other side of the country. i love it. only in oregon :D

Haha, good 'ol Oregon government...way to stay on top of things, lol.

I wonder if the person that prepared that letter even bothered to think about that one. :)
