[The camera starts on Artemis, who looks like she's been living in a park the last few days. Because she, well, has. Her hair is in disarray around her head and her clothes are pretty raggedy looking. Her voice is low, almost at a whisper.]I've been around the park this morning, so I felt I should share with you what I am witnessesing right now ( Read more... )

I have found it's either rage about it or make the best of the situation.

You do know they have hotels to sleep in?

I know. But where's the fun in that?

Lady Artemis, are you in need of a place to stay? Or shower?

Oh, Penelope, darling, I'm actually quite enjoying the adventure! It's a splendid change of pace from how things have been lately. How are you doing?

If you ever do need a place to get away from the elements you are more than welcome here. You are all right then?

I am doing as well as can be expected. Lady Metis has taken in Scylla and I to give us better accommodations than what I could afford.

My son has shown up. Not Telemachus, though. Pan. It is...awkward. To say the least.

I really am doing well, I've missed this kind of life. And do let me know if you need any extra funds! Obviously I'm not using much at the moment, and I have saved up a bit. I am sure Metis is taking wonderful care of you both, though.

I don't think awkward could quite cover that. Has Odysseus much to say on the matter? I can only imagine since you have implied he is not with you...

This is the advantage of not having a job.

Do you need blankets?

If you have any extra to spare, I really wouldn't mind them! It does get rather chilly at night.

The hotel has a few extras. If you tell me where they are, I can bring them to you.

Well I'm, um, somewhere in the park...

Maybe it's better if we meet somewhere more convenient? I could actually use a cup of coffee, and I think there's a shop nearby. It would give us time to catch up as well.

Well, it's better than a newspaper, which was the alternative.

Darling that is insanity. It's so...dirty there!

Oh, what do I care about a little bit of dirt, when I get to enjoy all the wonders of being outdoors again?

Sister!

Be careful! Sometimes the men who live in the park have been known to start fires.

Brother, when did you arrive here?

I'll be careful, but I certainly can't blame them. One must keep warm somehow, right?

gorgonkiller April 30 2010, 04:38:41 UTC
Before Cronus turned those people little. My wife is here too!

Well yeah, but these fires are the bad kind I guess? We have to go out and put them out if they get out of hand.

Oh! I certainly hope you and Andromeda escaped that nasty incident. Unfortunately, as you can see, Cronus' games are frequent.

In that case, I will remain extremely diligent. While a small fire for warmth is one thing, I have no interest in seeing the entire park lost to such negligence.
