Weird...

Apparently the band Disturbed (traditional 93X fare) has done a cover of the Genesis song Land of Confusion.

I'm not sure there's enough overlap between people who are familiar with Disturbed and people who are familiar with Genesis to understand what an odd cover this is.

I kind of like it.

Yeah, I've got terrible taste.

hey now.
I not only love that song, I love the band Disturbed. Yes, their older stuff was, lyrically, all that screamy-angry-murdery stuff. But if you listen carefully they were, musically, quite good. Also their newest cd is fantastic lyrically AND musically. It's far more political than the old stuff. The title song on the cd Ten Thousand Fists is about political rallies.
So Disturbed isn't all screamy 93x fare.

I wasn't saying that as a bad thing, I listen to 93X. I'm not a HUGE fan of Disturbed (dude, clear your throat already!) and will, if given the chance, sing along with Monkey Down with the Sickness.

And not all 93X is screamy either. Especially on the weekends, they play some good older stuff too! Do you know of any other station in the area that will play Disturbed though? I just figured "93X" was the best way to identify the style of the music to the other people who read this journal. (Namely, the next generation up from us.) *grin*

Well, I have head "Ten Thousand Fists" on the Current. I was just sayin' that liking a Disturbed song doesn't mean you have bad taste.

No, my bad taste kind of stands on it's own sometimes.

Oh my God, I totally forgot the puppet video went with that song! You're right, it freaked me out too.
