I'm not so sure of that. I could name more than one person I've met who had been groomed from the get-go to be leaders; to appreciate and to utilize the limelight; to have success and to handle very competently and healthfully all the pressures---public, private, social, professional---which come with it. Not everyone can. So, some people do get full=on sun burn, but others get only a few blisters, some of those more than others.
I'm one of those who'd get so bad a burn I'd just blister, shrivel, be completely dehydrated, and die---all in one day, I'm thinking.
It's that very careful "grooming" that makes all the difference.
I'm still of the opinion though that even with careful "grooming" you still need to start with good raw material. Piggies will remain piggies no matter what you attempt to do with them and I'm not talking appearance at this moment.
That raw material has to have had proper socialization, be emotionally well-balanced and mature as well as be intelligent, or the groomer is wasting their time and money.
Actually, you have had an example on the public stage for quite a while, now, of one who was groomed or self-groomed for the limelight and who, blisters and all, LOVES IT. I ask you: do you consider that example to be properly socialized, emotionally well-balanced and mature as well as intelligent?
(You can consider that rhetorical, if you prefer.)
