I finally filled out my fafsa. My mother frustrates me. She begrudgingly put up with my questions so that I could get free money because God knows neither of us could pool up the cash to afford this crap. I could feel the annoyance in her voice on my skin.. Ergh. But it's done. We're poor and now the fafsa people know it.

I've given up on Christopher's ever reading this.. I still make them to him in my head as I write them. Sorry to those of you how unadvisedly added me as a friend so long ago... Waddle Creek road is an old trail road carved out from Black Hills when you could only get to your farm on a horse. It's been updated since then, of course. It's a whole two lanes of black asphalt, kept clean, white and yellow lines crisp as to appease rich locals. It's nice. Thick green trees, the expected blackberry bushes and ferns.
