I am trying to buy tickets on MARC to get into DC for the inauguration. They were supposed to go on sell this am at 9 ami--I was up at midnight last night trying to purchase them then. So can you tell me why in the name of god you would a website would be "temporarily offline for maintenance"--on the morning and time that it is supposed to start ( Read more... )

at least i am now in the queue for the 1 customer service rep they have--scratch that apparently there are 6 crs and 7 tech guys in the office today. She was cool though and gave me the back door in.

Yeah, I'm surprised you got in at all.

I may just be being paranoid, but I'm going to stay as far away from DC then as I can. Besides, it's really going to be a... riot? zoo? bedlam? I don't know what the right word is here.

It will be absolute insanity, of that I have no doubt. I have always wanted to an inauguration--so why the hell not? I studied history in college--damn right i am going to DC to witness history as it happens. And we will probably be blogging as we go along. For the folks who don't want to experience the insanity of it all;)
