I like to plan. I like having a goal of where my life is going.  Even I veer widely off course, I like having a plan.  I like having a plan so much,  I have back up plans and contingency plans, and can plan at the drop of a hat, if need be. It's second nature to me.  It's a hobby.  There I have said it--some people scrapbook--I plan--It is a hobby

oof, yeah, the holding pattern. Granted, you get to cut yourself some slack, but still frustrating i'm sure. I pull that tarot card a lot -- the one with the pregnant lady in the watermelon patch, or, in another deck, the crossection of the chest with the massive chrysalis in place of the heart. Something's happening, but there's no outward evidence, so it just feels exasperating, that's one interpretation.

Hope things open back up for you, old friend.
