Who: Akito and Tim and anyone else who wants to join in Where: Dining Room When: Day 1, past noon What: Detectiving! Warnings: Obligatory Agito warning. Otherwise TBA?
Now that noon had arrived, and with the appearance of the 'welcome' note, Tim was looking out for anything else of note. He doubted the logic of things suddenly changing without warning but... well, the 'welcome' was something. Because that probably meant someone was here, messing with them or otherwise. So that meant maybe they'd missed something-- or that maybe there was something new.
Besides, it wasn't like there was much else to do besides quadruple (or was it more by now?) check the surroundings.
So that was the logic that brought Tim back to the dining room (besides something to eat wouldn't hurt-- he'd put off eating because he didn't trust food in a strange place, but there wasn't a lot of choice, frankly). And once there, he spotted another boy, someone close-ish to his age. With just a small amount of surprise on his face, he waved and said, "hey there."
Tim nodded quietly and solemnly. He was trying to figure it out in his head, which was hard to do when things didn't make any sense. There were gaping holes in the logic of this place, and in the sense of the situation. Distance and time didn't come together, from the conversations he'd had, and the time was messed up.
"Huh." He said, nodding, looking at them. He smiled a little, a friendly gesture to Akito. "That's really cool, actually. Kind of like roller blades but a lot cooler."
The light smiled happily. There were few topics he liked talking about more than AT.
"Mmhmm~ They're pretty popular at home, a lot of people have them. They like being able to fly with them, since you can pretty much defy gravity." Physics and AT just didn't go together.
He grinned and nodded. "Sure. Agito will you help me?" he asked, looking at someone only he could see.
'...fine. I'll entertain the kid for you.'
Akito clapped his hands happily and closed his eye, reaching to let the eyepatch loose. "I can't do much here, since it's pretty small, but..." He stepped back in his mind, Agito rising and opening the right eye, markedly different to the left with the brighter gold and slit pupil. Tim may notice that the aura around him was different suddenly, colder and more confident. AT wheels activated, spinning and whining and he leaped, high enough to easily be close to hitting his head on the roof. And proceeded to pretty much hang there for a good couple of minutes before gravity decided he'd had enough fun and landing.
The light grinned, taking over again as the dark stood upright, the teen going back to his bubbly, normal self. "Outside you can do even more. In here, the most we could do is that and riding along the walls and ceiling. But that leaves marks, so we don't do it much."
"Agito?" Tim asked, but he was quickly derailed by the sight.
He watched the shift in expression and body language especially carefully-- and, most of all, that eye-- but he was genuinely fascinated by the display. He watched closely, showing his genuine awe on his face.
"Whoa," he said. Then, "That's amazing! I'd love to see more sometime, maybe if we get out of here."
Akito grinned, pleased at the reaction. He might've been a tiny bit of a show-off, but since he needed Agito's help to do so, he didn't get to show-off much. But he could sense his other was amused, so all was good.
"Sure~ I wouldn't mind, and I don't think Agito would too much. He's the better rider out of us," the light said, tying the eyepatch back on and settling it over his right eye. "He's my other half, kind of like the shadow to my light. We both live in this body, and the eyepatch controls who's out." Simply, really.
"Huh." Tim said, honestly a little confused, but... to be quite fair, he'd encountered weirder things, in the past. Did he really have room to complain? And it wasn't as if it was that uncommon a psychological state. It was mostly just the 'eyepatch' addition that made it a little odd.
He resisted the cliché 'lonely' joke. "That's kind of cool, anyway. You've both been around for a long time?" he asked.
He nodded at the question, the light smiling a little. "Awhile. I was always here. Agito came to me when I was eleven, so he's been awake a few years." It always amused him that his other was so much younger than him. But Akito loved him all the same.
"It is, I think. I'm not sure I'd advertise it to anyone else," he admitted with a laugh. "But I like it. Agito's really important to me. I dunno what I'd do without him. He always knows how to cheer me up and stuff, since we know each other so well." Secrets were something you could never really have between two people who shared the same mind. Akito and Agito respected each other's mental space, but they knew each other so well hiding things just didn't work. Eventually the other would work it out, and help fix whatever was being worried about.
Tim smiled at that, and nodded. "Sounds good to me. Like a best friend that's always around." Only actually he'd not want to share a body or head space with his own best friend, as close as they were. Tim looked around the room again as he spoke. "It sounds kind of nice."

... then again his best friends all had super powers and two of them could fly.
"Woah. That's intense," he said. "Can I see? We definitely don't have anything quite like that where I'm from."
