name change

I've decided to change my lj name after 18 years. I had to pay 15 dollars for it so I hope I don't regret it because the last time I paid for anything on lj was a paid account at least 10 years ago (Justin gifted that to me for that about 5 years in a row for Valentine's Day until I told him I didn't want a paid account anymore ( Read more... )

Rings is because I was obsessed with Lord of the Rings, and coffee because I love coffee. I was also working at Starbucks at the time.

So now you're a majestic little hare. :) It's cute.

My username is pretty obvious lol, but it does have a small meaning. Years ago, between my last year in high school and my first year in uni, a few friends and I used to play D&D. My character was, indeed, an elven wizard. When I first joined LJ, I thought, since this character was sort of my alter ego, it kinda fit that I used it as my screen name. I added the "girl" at the end because people kept confusing me with a boy. Some people still get confused lol.

Neat D & D origin. I would never confuse an lj person as a guy. It's because I bet like 90 percent of active LJers are ladies. I would totally do the opposite though. There is actually one friend Ive had for years on here that I am not certain about and never have been lol. I *think* this person may be male, but have never known. I guess it ultimately doesnt matter.

lol I had a similar case but it was on DeviantArt, thought this artist was female but turned out to be male. Maybe you could ask your friend? That would be awkward tho...

On the other hand, sometimes people just don't pay attention. I have an alternate screen name for Spanish-speaking forums. Most nouns in Spanish have a different ending depending on whether they refer to a male or a female. The two nouns that compose my screen name have a female ending, yet people still confuse me with a boy...
