Yay! It's Friday. It's been very cold the past few days. I've been resting the toe and not walking and the cold reinforces that motivation. 29F is what the car says when I get in it in the morning.

Knocked out a dozen test scripts yesterday. Did training with WEB group. Wow, too much work. No wonder I'm ready for the weekend.

Getting to wear gloves, hats, sweaters and scarves, bundling up like a little kid, that first blast of cold air when you walk outside, the smell of fires in the fire place, drinking hot chocolate with friends, snuggling up with a cute boy (or a good book)... and of course snow. In Texas we don't get "pretty" cold, we get nasty cold. The roads ice over, the snow is icy, people freak out and it is just miserable for a couple of months. But this cold: the crisp breeze, the blue sky, this is the cold that I love...

I guess I just appreciate it more because I don’t get to experience it that often.

I think that's my problem. I'm just not ready for the cold. I'm not putting my hat and gloves on. For that matter I have a coat in the back seat and a nice hat in the trunk somewhere but I'm running to and from the car in just a shirt and it's not as much fun as getting dressed up.

Maybe I will go for a walk today afterall.
