Hmmm, I'm not that much of a concert person. I do go when asked but except for a few instances (Billy Joel, Paul Simon) I don't usually initiate it so I've probably been to under 50 of them in my life.

The first one I remember is John Sebastian singing Welcome Back and Hot Town Summer in the City.

Are you really into concerts? I guess I could get some Wolftrap tickets before you leave. :)

I /love/ concerts. I really miss Deep Ellum, its the "music scene" in Dallas: lots of clubs and music venues. I've missed so many great concerts while I've been up here, a fact which my brother likes to rub in my face.

I've managed to get tickets to see one of my favorite bands which is playing up here next week, but DC isn't really the place for concerts, especailly for the less main-stream bands.

Innsbrook which is in Glen Allan a few miles north of Richmond had lots of great concerts this year. Also Richmond had some others. I think I went to four or five just this year but that's more a function of who I was with.

I just found out last week that Baltimore has major band area for Friday and Saturday nights. Some square but I forgot what it's called. Sometimes the biggest city isn't necessarily the best. Unless it's New York of course.
