So if you could, please. Just tell me a few of your favorite books. Fiction and non-fiction are both welcome. But please include at least one fiction or creative non-fiction, since ( Read more... )

That always happens to me at the library, too. You could always just get a bunch of Christopher Pike books!

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Written on the Body by Jeannette Winterson

you know, I've never read Lolita. I've seen both versions of the movie... I should really correct that.

books are my crack. i've read at least thirty books since i moved. so if YOU have suggestions for ME, let me know. i'm desperate. but anyway...John Kennedy Toole's A Confederacy of Dunces is one of my favorite books, so you should totally read that.

and i just read Memories of My Melancholy Whores by Gabriel Garcia Marquez...it was wonderful, and a quick read. i pretty much like anything by him.

also, off the top of my head...

- blood and guts in high school - kathy acker
- cat's cradle - kurt vonnegut
- the autobiography of alice b. toklas - gertrude stein
- bare: the naked truth about stripping - elisabeth eaves
- every chuck palahniuk book ever(...but you knew that.)
