I listening to the radio this morning. And i realized how many stupid people voice their opinions on it. They were dicussing Tom Cruises interview that i posted below. They basically were talking about how stupid he sounded. They were asking people to call in and say if they agreed or disagreed with Tom. And if this interview persuaded them to NOT ( Read more... )

but you can't say that just because someone is on ritalin is the problem. People do better with it, and thats a fact. im not bashing your opinion, or anyones opinion. im just stating my own. i know people who have been on both aderol and ritalin and i know someone who is on anti depressants. you're basically saying there's no such thing as a chemical imbalance in your brain, then how do you explain everything else. it's like a cold everyone gets a cold right? but sometimes its worse for me as it is for you. adhd - everyone has it, sometimes it's just WORSE. depression, sometimes its just WORSE. maybe, they do just cover up the problem but it helps doesnt it? somehow it helps them to calm down, it helps them to act happier. and they dont do better in school because they have meds they do just the same as us. just because now they're calm doesnt mean there grades are going up. if the meds just cover it up, it shouldnt help them as much & that shouldnt be a problem right? if they're drugs & you think they're bad & such then why is it ( ... )

I understand that too. Its just i know a lot of kids whose parents put them on those drugs. When they didn't need to be. Kids that got good grades, and sat down and read all of the harry potter books without distraction. So they basically are just adding to a problem that never exists. I know people who do need ritalin , i just think that the bad out ways the good. Maybe its cause i've seen more of the negative side of it. Thank you for your opinion

Tom Cruise never graduated from high school. Tom Cruise is not well read on the history of psychiatry and he is pretty much a big dumbass when it comes right down to it. Tom Cruise is a top-billing actor and people should watch the movie because it might be good.

"Psychiatry" and "psychology" are not the same and I don't like how he mixes those two up. They probably also don't do a whole lot of good.

Psychiatry-The branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental and emotional disorders.

psychology-The science that deals with mental processes and behavior. The emotional and behavioral characteristics of an individual, a group, or an activity.

I hate when you make me look up stuff. I still <3 tom even though you are smarter than him and make him look stupid. I <3 you too caleb

well obviously no one knows what medication is best for anyone or we wouldn't have these problems. regardless of what he said in the interview the movie looks like it might be good, so i may see it.

i don't believe in perscribed medicated for mental problems... Obviously there is something in a persons life, or the people surrounding them, or no motavation that makes the brain work the way they do. It's called mind over matter, not pop the pill... I do have a friend who's on zolof, and i did notice a difference in her "happieness" but i also looked at what was going on in her life. She switched majors, she might have cancer and she has a shit job at winn dixie.

If people did things the natural way, such as excersise, a healthy diet, and surround themselves with good people you really have no excuse to be on a pill everyday of your life...

And abbies right, the side affects always outweigh the good.
