Malaysia's nice.

I successfully received my working visa for Thailand and saw a boy shitting into a sewer vent in the outdoor food market in Kuala Lumpur's Little India.

In the last week I've randomly encountered the following animals in non-zoo settings: scorpion, iguana, pit viper.

Still in Laos, specifically Vang Vieng. It's a pretty little town between mountains and a river. Activities abound, and I've been tubing on the river and went on a walk through a pasture that concluded in me climbing a small mountain in flip-flops and a long skirt. The only thing Luang Prabang has more of than tourists is monks. In fact, there are 2 in this Internet cafe right now. Young ones. They're sent here from nearby villages to be novices at the temples where they get free board and educations all while earning merit for their families ( Read more... )
