Professional Foul, I found, dealt with a lot of moral issues. Should he take the thesis? Should he not? Should he help the family? Should he hide the thesis?

Your observation about the events in Professional Foul paralleling the chaos theory is certainly relevant and I thank you for not letting it slip past. In "Oranges" there are a couple of passages the allude to the chaos theory as well, like the two mentions of history being a string with knots onto it, and that passage about the prophet and priest each living on different time planes. Pretty cool stuff...
