One, S, works in an art department and so she is on set for crazy long hours 6 days a week and the other, G, is often staying over at her boyfriend's across town when she's free from work, although sometimes they crash over here.

I haven't but I guess I could. I don't think I'm much of a cook, for the longest time I was just satisfying my own needs. I like using eggplant and noodles, kind of like a thai dish but since I don't do it great I make up with it by using garlic chile spices.

One thing I like to do is just chop up a bunch of veggies and toss them in a wok, bok choi, ginger, baby corn, chard, celery, anything on hand. My husband and his kids eat meat so I can fry up some diced chicken on the side or mix in late after I've sent aside my own portion. Etc. Steam some rice or noodles and serve the stir fry over that.

Sounds like you live in a very nice place with plenty of space and everyone likes absent roommates. hehe. Vegetarian dishes are very healthy and good for your kids. I hope you and J have a nice time at the wedding :)

our house near seattle is old and needs work but has space enough for us all, my friends in LA make really good money, bought this place a long time before the market went way up and they have an amazing space.
