pee observed

boys pee on the floor, on the seat, and sometimes on the wall (if it's close enough) and (at least some) men, even when they hit their target, seem to dribble on the floor. I also have enjoyed peeing whilst standing up, but only in the shower where my indiscriminate aim had no lasting effects ( Read more... )

I laughed out loud at the pee thing. My (ex) stepsons were horrible aimers. My daughter used to manage to splatter the underside of the seat.. I never outed her on this as I did not want to embarrass her.

My mom had me and my brothers and my dad all trained to wipe the rim every time. I still do it.

When I was married to my first husband, he worked midnights so I had the bed to myself at night...the boys always slept with me. I was always scared at night being home alone with them that if anything were to happen (fire, break in) I wouldn't want the boys to be away from me in their rooms for me to look/find them.

It took my new husband (after he moved in with me, while we were engaged) to help me break the boys out of the habit. They were 11 and 9 years old. It was about time...they were getting too big for us to fit...and though I didn't think it was weird yet, Greg thought it was, but I didn't argue, it would have been nice to have the bed to myself for a change! They were entering middle school at that age, so yeah, it was time :)

I hadn't thought it was weird at all until I was typing. And then for some reason it struck me. They are 7 and 8 and a half but also step-sons, so I had this moment where I thought, is that a no-no? Normally J is home when one of them tries to crawl in, and they never start the night with us, someone just materializes in the wee hours.

I figure I'm going to have to draw the line sometime not too far down the road. I might just start bringing one of the twins into bed and tell them they can't disrupt the babies - which they were used to anyway up until a few months ago.

That is so sweet that they are comfortable with you like that!
