Now I bet this is a surprise! Yes, the next chapter is out after only a week instead of six months, in part due to the lovely comments and the cries of YAGH, CLIFFIE! that prompted me to get off my lazy arse and write. I'm so pleased to see another update! They always make my day (which is actually kind of weird...)
Cliffjumper...hah. Even when they get back, they'll need to figure out a way to reverse Darius's anti-gift. I really enjoyed the little touches of humor, the kid immitating Darius's vocabulary, and Ryou and Darius's little sarcastic remarks ('That's very interesting...' and 'you're just hoping your deal is as good as mine...')
I'm wondering if the presence of these enemies is part of why the Per Gathas were pretending not to notice the Assyrian cannons and so on
I look forward to the continuation whenever it arrives :-)

Thanks ^__^ It's true that the Per Gathas are busy elsewhere, and are also somewhat happy that Assyria could defeat the Roman advance, despite their neutrality.

i will keep my fingers crossed for ryou and darius, but i'm sure they'll be, ahem, "fine," if by that you mean not dead, but in a whole new heap of trouble after their jump.

Those massive projections, each considerably longer than the Japanese archipelago, looked a lot like trailing tentacles...

omg. omg omg omg! i have no words... i hope they get back to assyria but that would just be too much of a miracle to ask for, ne? where will they end up next? maybe the inlands? that'd make some sort of twisted sense, like the farther away from the spiral you get, the closer you are to the center ( ... )

Your theory about the timelapse in the communication is pretty accurate. As for the remembering, that should be clearer in the next chapter to be posted.

Aiiiieeeeeeee! Another cliffhanger!!!!!! You evil, evil girl!!!!!

This continuation was great. At the end of the last chapter, I had thought that the "fall" separated them. It's good to see that they are together. And you write outstanding action scenes. And I'm glad that Ryou didn't take the offer. Bravo on this. Write more soon.
