Five years ago today I had a little baby girl that we named Persephone Jirina (after my mom) Stella (after Joel’s mom) Clark. We call her Sophie for short, although she knows and answers to Persephone with my family. She weighted just under 6.5lbs, which is so tiny compared to the 45lbs 3”7 string bean she is now. I never post anymore (I don’t remember how to do cuts :S ) although I still keep a Sophie journal where I try to remember to write down all the cute things she does on a month to month basis (which is lots), but I thought at least once this year I’d take a few minutes to update. My operation went really smoothly, despite having to get up to be at the hospital for 6am and barely sleeping at all cause I had that whole night before jitters and felt the need to clean the home as much as possible beforehand (I stopped myself from moving around all our wall art at 4am, that was the line). Joel and I had our first baby together. It was pretty awesome. So this Saturday, Nov 25th, we're asking friends to drop by the Duke of Gloucester (649 Yonge Street)starting around 8pm to celebrate Joel turning 3.0! Today we are moving to a 2 bedroom a few floors down in our building, which is something we have been very much looking forward to for some time. It's been a ridiculously busy summer, and at some point I'll post a baby update for all the cool things she's learned.

(  Though we keep a daily mini journal logged on our calendar, I haven’t done much in the way of general updates, so I figured since it was her birthday week I’d do a big recap of what the munchkin has been up to. )
