I said it before but I'll say it again--I love this! It's such a wonderful glimpse into the screwed up mess that is Janet's mind. She really has no clue of how badly she's managing the whole mess or how badly she's treated poor Tim.

*Huge hugs back* I'm so glad, and honestly honored, that you've linked it in your Journals. It feels pretty cool to be an official part of the story. And she can't even begin to fathom the idea that this could be HER fault. Clearly she's done nothing wrong. (Or that's what she thinks, anyway.) She's so cold and methodical that she'd be happier if her son was trying to steal the family fortune than if he had just needed a hug.

Oh this is awesome. Janet's view of the world is so messed up. Thinking this is at best Tim just wanting attention and worse a bid to take the company. Because yeah that's what seven (eight?) year old little boys do. Her head is kind of scary.

Wonderful addition to the snapshot verse hon.

Thanks so much. She's totally cold inside. It's a scary woman who can look at a helpless little boy and tell him that wanting his parents to spend his birthday with him was expecting far too much.

Isn't it a scary idea. Her starting all over with a new baby, one that she'd be determined not to coddle and spoil like she did with Tim. I just hope that she'd figure another child wouldn't be worth the effort.

I wonder whether she was raised by a parent just like herself or if she was frigid from the beginning and hated her own parents for what she percieved to be their weaknesses... for not raising her to become stronger and more powerful than she is. I can't help but think that maybe she had one of each. Any icy parent that she idolized and the one that paid a lot of attention to her that she resented for not being stronger.
