I, Captain Jack Sparrow, former commander of the East India Trading Company's Fair Wind, current captain of the Black Pearl (the Wicked Wench that was) and of the lovely Joanna Joyce do heretofore submit my name for consideration as captain in this venture.

Made Barbados to Freetown in under four weeks. Did the Horn through a hurricane--no casualties. And I've run plenty of cargo. [Illicitly.]

Speed and survival---bring us all home in two shakes, lads and lasses.

--Captain J. Sparrow

Acceptable! That's all you have to say for yourself?

[But so noted: Region Six, a geographical ocean name and the name of a harbor.]

What's in the cargo that needs so much protecting?

The contents of the cargo is no one's concern.

A mission on board a ship...? That certainly changes the dynamics of the battle.

[Katara reads that list and when she comes across Toph's name that... takes over her focus.]

Commandant? One of the names on your list has been taken by the droids to a rogue facility. Does that mean she'll be shifted out from there?

It's possible. Such a thing has been known to happen before.

I see.

[So either she doesn't know or she's not telling. Mmm. Time to shift focus. With all this concern about command and who goes on what crew, there are a few other things Katara needs to know. Like are they responsible for keeping the ships moving or are they just there to fight? Three large ships and a draft this size...]

You said the droids would be piloting the ships. Is that their only function or is there going to be some sort of skeleton crew?

[Because if not...

If not...

Hmm.]

They will will act as directed and ensure that the ship continues to move, but don't count on them for support during combat. If they move too close to one of the Third Party Shifters, they become completely disabled.

[Missions for these bastards? Oh yeah Hakumen doesn't like it. But, he's not going to holler or complain about it. This person likely wouldn't give a damn if he did. However, there are some things he will question.]

For what purpose are we transporting this cargo?

Your question is unimportant. The cargo and its destination is our business, not yours.

So, we are risking our lives to help you transport something that we have no information on. [A light 'hah' follows afterward.] Fine.

Where are we to transport the cargo, after this ship has docked? Or are we not going to assist in the unloading at all?

Throughout the voyage and after, your focus should be on defense. Noncombatants can unload if they so choose, since they'll be good for little else.
