If I have to see one more "Celebrity ______" type of show I think I might eat my own face.

"Dancing With The Stars", "Skating With Celebrities", "Celebrity Fear Factor" (here's a good idea for an event, make celebs get their own double-mocha half-caff jolt of java...you'll see fear then, my friends).

I look at it like this: while there are reality shows on cable (or satellite), it seems as if the traditional networks are relying more and more heavily on this tripe. It's that fact that leads me to watch very little network tv (aside from simpsons, family guy, you get the picture). It's like the guy who can't swim on a sinking ship, you know he's going down...it's just a matter of whether he goes down with the ship or tries to jump. The traditional networks are failing, no matter if they go down with the ship of what was traditional programming, or if they jump to reality television. The additions of new channels on an almost daily basis, in addition to the commonality of cable/satellite in most homes, pretty much guarantees the downward trend in network viewership. But most of these execs fail to acknowledge this, and resort to the crap you see 85% of the time on their networks. This is one of the many reasons DVRs are so popular. That's my rant. Time to take the dog out for his middle of the night pee.
