Now that my week at Brown is over, my family's taking me on a college tour of New England.  We've just arrived at Middlebury, VT, and tomorrow I have a tour and interview at Middlebury College scheduled.  After getting settled in the hotel we decided to go visit the campus.  We drove past the gym, the indoor tennis courts, the golf course, and then

Yeah, it's going on the second day of driving across New England and believe me, tensions are already high. I'm actually at Wesleyan right now! I have another tour/interview tomorrow. What didn't you like about it?

And you know, after taking the tour at Middlebury today, I actually kinda like it. Yeah, it's still ridiculously isolated, but from the stories I've heard the students really make up for it by organizing lots of activities and events, so you don't feel like you're the last people on Earth. And omg, they have like 30 study abroad programs for all over the world, which is AWESOME.

Eeee, crisis!! Silly Emily, don't you think the DVD player would be the FIRST place you look for a rogue DVD? *shakeshead*

No, I know exactly what you're talking about. Like I said, I originally felt that about Middlebury, and I've also felt it about Bard, which I visited a couple years ago. In response to your reaction at Wesleyan, they're still doing construction and my tour guide was kind of obnoxious, so that put me off at first. But my interviewer was awesome, and he really got me excited about the school.

As for Middlebury - we'll see!
