Went to Pat's wake today with Erin - couldn't stay for the funeral.  A lot of our classmates showed up, but I was surprised by how many teachers I saw, especially since it's the summer.  The line was out the door and around the house when we arrived, so it was awhile before we got inside the funeral home, leaving us plenty of time to stare ( Read more... )

It happened again.

Pat, a boy in my grade, has died.  I'm not sure when, my friend Erin just told me, and she showed me the post on Maegan's facebook that talks about how he died.  Maegan was the last person to see him alive.  From her story it's clear he overdosed on drugs, and by the time they found him (he'd slept over her house) it was too late ( Read more... )
