Went to Pat's wake today with Erin - couldn't stay for the funeral. A lot of our classmates showed up, but I was surprised by how many teachers I saw, especially since it's the summer. The line was out the door and around the house when we arrived, so it was awhile before we got inside the funeral home, leaving us plenty of time to stare ( Read more... )

I'm grateful it's never happened to you. Even though I didn't know either J.T. or Pat very well, I can't help but be affected.

No way! I have the same situation with my eyes, except reversed. My left eye's like 20/20 except my right eye's 20/60. When I cover my left eye, I can barely see anything clearly, but I see fine with both eyes open (just can't do distance). I only have to wear glasses for classes and stuff too, but I wear them all the time to take the strain off my left eye, and also because, strangely, I think I look better with glasses.

Heehee, and I'm sure you don't look like a dork, little sisters are supposed to say things like that. They sound cool to me! And now you, Lauren, and I all have glasses! The Bespectacled Trio!!
