Well, it's been a while since my first post so I thought I would start from the beginning.  Hi, my name is Cheryl and I live in Watertown, NY.  My husband just retired from the Army after 22 years and took a civilian job at Fort Drum, NY.  I was born, raised and lived my entire life in the south and being up north is taking some getting use to.

She feels that in July of next year, when the last movie is released, it will be an end to her childhood and time for her to be an adult The quilt, is my way of telling her to hold onto the child in her. And to remember the times she and I have spent together.

That part made me tear up a little(OK allot) This is so touching and heart warming!! Thank you for sharing that with us.

Does she know about the quilt or is it a surprise? Ether way I know she is going to love it and its going to be one more wonderful memory for you and her to share.

Hugs

Yes, she is aware of the quilt. Each day I post my completed blocks on facebook and she calls me to talk about the blocks. She is so excited!!

I am hoping to have not only pictures to post of the completed quilt but also of the look on her face when she sees it.

I am glad my story touched you. Sounds as though you are a mother and understand. And I guess I am trying to hold onto her childhood as well.

I can not wait to see the look on her face!! You just mite have to do video for that one!!

No I am not a mom but I can so understand how your daughter feels and know the wonderful feeling when you can share that bond of something with your mom.

My mom has always supported all my fandoms, even now at 30somthingish :) and She even joins in on some of them and that is very special to me.

P.s Tell her " We never really grow up, we just end up with more responsibilities"

This is going to be such a beautiful, tangible reminder of her childhood, those shared memories, and your love! What an awesome gift.
