Miss my post yesterday because I was honestly having a hard time thinking of something positive to say. All the crafty things I tried to do failed, my husband is packing and it's still just grey, raining and gross here.

Well, I finally got all my buddies together. It didn't seem right to have just Harry. So I set out to find Ron and Herminone, found them, and now they are all together. But there now is one more.

Positive Post - 1 of 30
Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversay. And I love him more today than the day we were married. I didn't think it was possible but am very grateful I was wrong.

A great weekend and a great husband.
I mentioned previously that my husband will soon be going to Afghanistan. Very soon actually, October 19th. So before he left we planned a trip to Mansfield, Ohio so my husband could visit his family. We left Thursday morning and arrived around 3pm. My husband's family is HUGE! Coming to the end :(
Today is Friday, I think and as of right now I have 9 blocks remaining and I am a bit sad. While I am looking forward to giving the quilt to my daughter, I have fallen in love with paper piecing and especially the Harry Potter blocks. I would like to do a lap quilt for myself with the 9 3/4 block enlarged. That seems to be my favorite. I would ( Read more... ) -

Okay, so I counted up the blocks I have completed and realized that if I were to finish all the blocks I want, the quilt would wind up being king sized. That wont work. I wanted it to be one she could cuddle up with when it gets cold ( Read more... ) -
Time is running short
Well, it's September already and I am feeling the days counting down. My husband is going to Afghanistan on October 19th and will be gone for a year. Normally, I would just do what I have done for the past 22 years, work, kids in school and go on about your day. But things have changed drastically ( Read more... ) -
