aurora australis

I have enjoyed viewing the Aurora Australis for the past few years but something I have never been able to do is photograph it. My camera has never been powerful enough to capture the spectral lights. Until this year.... Nice. There's been a couple of times this year that the forecast has had 'em visible from IVC and potentially CHC, but not quite yet all the way to WLG. Still hopeful.

Mmm... CHDK. I've had it on my PS-A560 for a few years. So many little things that the stock firmware should be able to do (like optical zoom during video recording, and long still exposures), and much more.
