So Adam and I have finally gotten settled into our new place. I like it. It's a two bedroom apartment in a very quiet apartment complex. It costs $560 TOTAL a month...and that's including cable AND utilities. Oh, and it has a pool which we have been taking advantage of ( Read more... )

Omg! The price for the apartment is just too good! Plus you got a pool! Now I'm jealous :(

PS.: Do you guys have IKEA over there? (Swedish company for furniture and everything you need for living. Good stuff, low prices)

They're building an Ikea about an hour away...It should be done next month I think. I'm excited! I loved going there when Adam and I lived in New York.

this is a random question. but how do you pay for rent if you're both unemployed? btw that is a very very great deal for rent.

Well, this entry is from 8 years ago so you probably couldn't get the same deal on rent now!

He was collecting unemployment at the time, and I had no trouble picking up a job within probably days of this post. We both also had a lot of savings, since he was making a good income before becoming unemployed and I was a student and I had been working for the University through out the school year so I also had quite a bit of cushion.
