[It's not quite a Christmas message from the Queen... but all the same, there's Elizabeth, sitting at her desk, look exceedingly tired. It might be a festive season but she's got far too much on her mind. Still, she's a woman whose dealt with far worse, faced war and persecution and her own execution -- what is a few family problems

It shall be as you command, Regina Gloriana.
[He did not miss that order, Elizabeth.]

My thanks, Castiel. [she looks away for a moment.] Should you need me for anything... [equal parts, she didn't expect to be respected for nothing.]

Might I suggest then that you stay your mother clear of the library. There could be a few unwanted texts that she might... accidentally come across. [ Don't let the smirk fool you. He is being slightly diplomatic about the whole thing. ] It's not the best posture to back a request up with a threat, Your Majesty. Or is that a title I should be referring to your mother with?

I'm not keen on having my mother-in-law breathing down our necks. Does she know about... you know... yet? Can we get her sent home?

You mean you are not keen to -- and no she doesn't. I hadn't thought to tell her such things until she was settled. [She goes absolutely livid at the last bit. Like her temper needs much of an excuse at the moment.] Gabriel! Never say such a thing again.

I'm so sorry for voicing an opinion you don't like about your saintly mother. It was actually, you know, a joke but I see you're above such things. Nothing can be funny unless it has a royal freakin' decree!

[ After the shout out, Selina opens the door to the room Elizabeth is in. With her hand on the door, she rests in the door frame and just glares. She looks more irritated than upset, and more exhausted than even that. ]
If you're going to have a fight, Lizzie, can you do it when I'm not trying to sleep? [ Despite the words, it is obvious she is worried. ]
