Caulfield Farmer's Market, which is only about 5 minutes away from us. We weren't so much interested in fruit/veg/meat (although we did pick up a punnet of the tastiest, juiciest cherries I've ever had in my life), but we wanted to look at the other produce stalls. We were not disappointed!! It's a bit of a smallish one though.
ah, awesome. i've never been to those ones, i've only really bothered with the mfm.com.au ones - i've tried some vic/country farmer's markets (out in bundoora), but the stalls were so very obviously not "farmer" (a few were, but it was just the wrong vibe all 'round).
there's (good) markets on at st kilda this weekend if you're interested though. it's good enough that i ride from preston to check it out. (srs, best eggs ever, and pretty awesome milk.. and the dudes there are super nice)
what other produce were you there for if not fruit/veg/meat? like baked goods and stuff?
We were there just for a looksee really - not for anything in particular. We did end up walking away with a punnet of cherries (only one, sadly), some delicious eggplant pesto, a banana cake and some gourmet turkey and cranberry sausages. We also sampled heaps and heaps of delicious stuff! Would have bought some more but we are already fatty fat fats as it is :/
