Had to go to a funeral yesterday. A friend of Candy's passed away a few days ago and she was only 36. It was hard to see her kids in such distress and knowing nothing I, we or anyone could say or do would make it any better. Today is bill day (yuck). Good time by all
Well, We had dinner with our friends and some relatives of Candy's, and it was a good time. Nathan spent most of it in his room with his cousin, who is about the same age as he is, so the adults hung out in the living room. There were a couple of smaller kids, and they spend their time playing with the Teddy Bear Hamsters. I ate too much pie.

Nathan got home today and we got his report card. All E's, 1 A (you guesses it - gym) and a D+ in driver's ed. He is refusing to do his chores, and took off to a friends house. We have had to go as far as calling his friends and tell them what is going on and not to let him into their house and tell him to go home. It's possible he may be going to ( Read more... ) -
A lot on my mind
Candy is feeling a bit better and is almost back to her old chipper self today - busy as a bee cooking and cleaning with her mother. It always amazes me how those two manage to spend all day cleaning...and cleaning...and cleaning - just to do it all over again the next day - were is the progress? lol. Still Awake
Candy has been tossing and turning all night so I gave up trying to sleep. I will do like I did yesterday and try and sleep later today and sleep until 5 PM. Since I am posting again, we can assume all is well with our furnace. That's another reason I stayed up - I didn't want to sleep though whatever explosion may have happened during the night.
